6 different timelines expanding over several centuries... David Mitchell's novel must have been some puzzle to fit into motion picture. The effort was good, not reaching excellency Even though there were Matrix-Wachowskis behind it. I read the book just in August, so it took me only 40 minutes to get inside who is who, doing what when and why.
Actors really worked for their salaries making this film, main characters had cameo roles within each timeline. All of them were not recognizable, but were shown in end credits of course. Asian actors masked to play caucasian roles and vice versa, must've been an interesting job for make-up crew!
The movie lasted 3 hours, and I admit checking the time twice in last 30 minutes. The theme is about individuals forming history with small deeds. Every good or bad deed affects and alters the future. It was supposed to be about eternal love also, but I found that plotline the thinnest of them all. Good entertainment but that's all.
Feelings afterward: more or less the same than before the film, numb bottom and urgent need to use ladies' room
